The Utility Water Act Group (“UWAG” or “we”) respects your concerns about privacy.  This Privacy Notice describes the types of personal information we collect about you through our website, utilitywateractgroup.org (the “Site”).  We explain here how we may use your information, with whom we may share it, and the choices available to you regarding our use of the information.  This Privacy Notice also describes the measures we take to safeguard your personal information and how you can contact us for more information about our privacy practices.

Information We Obtain About You

We obtain personal information about you when you contact us.  The types of personal information we obtain include contact information (such as your email address), and other content you may provide when you contact us.

Information We Obtain by Automated Means

Third-Party Analytics Services

Information Sharing

We take your privacy very seriously, and we do not sell, rent or disclose personal information we obtain about you in connection with the Site, except as described in this Privacy Notice.  UWAG members may share personal information with their affiliates and subsidiaries for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice.  We also may share your personal information with service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as data hosting and storage services, for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice.

In addition, we may disclose information about you (1) if we are required to do so by law or legal process (such as a court order or subpoena); (2) in response to requests by government agencies, such as law enforcement authorities; (3) to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights; (4) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical or other harm or financial loss; (5) in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity; or (6) otherwise with your consent.  In the event a UWAG member sells or transfers (or contemplates the sale or transfer of) all or a portion of its business or assets (including in the event of a merger, acquisition, joint venture, reorganization, divestiture, dissolution or liquidation), that member reserves the right to transfer personal information UWAG has about you.

Other Online Services and Third-Party Features

Our Site may provide links to other online services for your convenience and information.  These online services and third-party features may operate independently from us.  The privacy practices of the relevant third parties, including details on the information they may collect about you, is subject to the privacy statements of these parties, which we strongly suggest you review.  To the extent any linked online services or third-party features are not owned or controlled by us, UWAG is not responsible for these third parties’ information practices.

How We Protect Personal Information

We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against accidental, unlawful or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure or use.

Children’s Personal Information

This Site is directed toward a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 years of age.  UWAG does not knowingly collect or use information from children under 13 obtained through the Site.  If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 13, we will promptly delete the information from our records.  If you believe that a child under the age of 13 may have provided us with personal information, please contact us as specified in the How To Contact Us section of this Privacy Notice.

Updates to Our Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice may be updated periodically and without prior notice to you to reflect changes in our personal information practices.  If we make a change, we will modify the “Effective Date” at the top of this page so you can see if this Privacy Notice has changed since the last time you viewed it.  If we make a significant change to our privacy practices, we will update you by posting a notice on the Site or through other reasonable means.
